Joseph Edward Berg is the fourth-born son of Axel and Augusta. He grew up on the family farm in Farm Island Twp. The family attended the Maria Chapel.
Joe and Dora were married January 15, 1914, in Duluth, Minnesota. Joe farmed adjoining his father, Axel, and eventually farmed the Axel Enberg farm. His brother, Albert, worked with him.
They raised their children here in Farm Island Twp.: Jessie, Gordon, Milton, and Donald.
Joe farmed until his death in 1953.
The Enberg family farm was lovingly cared for by his daughter Jessie (Enberg) and Bill Langton until their deaths.
