Obituary of Hazel R. Scarbrough

Hazel R. Scarbrough, 80, formerly of 955 Illinois Ave., Elgin died
Sunday in the Olivette Nursing Home, Elgin, Illinois.

She was born March 4. 1903, in Kell, Illinois, the daughter of John and
Nancy Meyers Hawkins.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elgin, the American
Baptist Women's Association and the White Cross Workers.

Surviving are two sons, Lowell and Russell, both of Elgin; a daughter,
Mrs. Gerald (Donna) Rouley of Elgin; a brother, Roy Hawkins of Texico, IL.;
two sisters, Zetta Blankenship of Sandwich, IL and Gladys Hoadly of
Maple Park, IL.; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Virgil in 1980; two sisters, Mamie Byers and Iva Pate; and six brothers, Ira, Wayne, Earl, Elmer and two in infancy.

Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Wait, Ross, Allanson Funeral Chaple, Elgin, the Rev. Willis A Reed officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-9 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Church.
