Zetta Blankenship, 92, of Sandwich, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1987 at Sandwich Community Hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1895 , in Kell, Ill., the daughter of John and Nancy (Myers) Hawkins. She married Luther Blankenship Feb.. 6, 1913.

She lived in the Sandwich area for 30 years, coming from Newark, Ill.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sandwich and a Sunday school teacher for more than 30 years.

She is survived by one son, Gilbert Blankenship, of Newark; two daughters, Myrtle (Harry) Abbott, of Portland, Ore., Lucille (Howard) Seton, of Earlville; one sister, Gladys (Floyd) Hoadley, Maple Park; a brother, Roy Hawkins, of Texaco; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Rose (Oval) Smith; six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 P.M. at the Church of the Nazarene in Sandwich with Rev. Chester Wright and Rev. Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Burkhart Funeral Home in Sandwich.
