Era is the daughter of Olive Leolia (Ussery) and Andrew Jackson Gideon Green. She never married. She was always close to her brother Loyd, and lived near or with his family most of her adult life.

Era A. Green passed away at the age of 95 on July 7, 1987 in Mountain View, Arkansas. She was a resident of Comptons Oak Grove Lodge in Mountain View. She was born March 18, 1892 in Hunt, Texas. She was a member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church. Her parents, A. J. and Olive (Ussery) Green preceded her in death. Survivors are three sisters, Lelia Alexander, Pearl Hall and Esther Addington.

Graveside services were Thursday, July 9, at 3 p.m. at Flatwoods Cemetery with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.
