Eula joined the US Women's Army as an aviation cadet on 29 Mar 1943. I do not know if she became a WASP, but she apparently qualified as a veteran.
She married Albert Livingston Hendrix on 24 Aug 1951 in Nolan Co., Sweetwater, TX by the Rev. George R. Wilson at the First Baptist Church. They had no children, but she accepted his children from a previoius marriage as her own.
Eula was said to be a very dear person, a fabulous cook and devout Christian. Albert and Eula were active members in the Nolan Baptist Church, and Eula had been a Sunday school teacher. From letters that she wrote my grandmother, she was apparently a very lively and funloving woman.
