Abernathy Weekly Review June 4, 1942 FUNERAL RITES HELD HERE FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Funeral rites were conducted at the Baptist church here Friday afternoon for Mrs. A. J. Green, about 74, who died at Sweetwater Wednesday of last week. Rev. C. C. Griffith, Olton Baptish pastor, officiated, and was assisted by Rev. J. Frank Nix, local Baptist pastor, and Rev. C. J. Mc Carty, Lubbock Baptist minister. Burial was in Abernathy cemetery.

Mrs. Green lived with her family on a farm north of town several years ago. Included in the list of survivors are 10 children. Her husband died several years ago.
