Josephine Kuhn, 83, 211 East 15th, died Saturday at Canterbury Villa. She had been a lifetime Hays resident.

She was born August 15, 1895 in Hays, the daughter of John and Catherine (Waldschmidt) Wasinger.

She married Peter M. Kuhn Jan. 19, 1915 at Victoria.

Memberships: St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Christian Mothers, and the Catholic Women’s Society.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Fidelis and Eugene, both of Portland; five daughters, Mrs. Norman (Irene) Zecha and Mrs. Donald (Mary) Bradley, both of Portland, Mrs. Rosella Dechant, Mrs. A. P. (Catherine) Leiker and Zelma Kuhn, all of Hays; three brothers, Nick J. and William Wasinger, both of Hays, and Lawrence Wasinger, Santa Rosa, Texas; six sisters, Mrs. Theresa Williams and Mrs. Rosie Riechert, both of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Frances Jackson, Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Philomena Harlan, Salmar, Calif., Mrs. Angela Schmidt, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Tillie Gamper, Hiawatha; 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph’s Church; St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Friends may call fraom 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 1-9 p.m. Monday at Brock’s North Hill Chapel. Parish wake 8 p.m. Monday and Altar Society and Christian Mothers rosary 4 p.m. Monday, all at Brock’s.
