Sylmar, Calif. -- A former, Hays resident, Angela R. Schmidt, 72, died Friday, June 6, while visiting in Sylmar. She had been a resident of Colorado Springs, Colo., for several years.

She was born May 22, 1908 the daughter of John H. and Catherine Ann Waldschmidt Wasinger.

She married Connie Schmidt; he died in 1969.

Survivors include one son, Donald, Hollywood, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Morrow, Franklin Lakes, N.J.; three brothers, Nick Wasinger and William Wasinger, both of Hays, and Lawrence Wasinger, Santa Rose, Texas; five sisters, Matilda Gampper, Hiawatha, Mrs. Theresa William, Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Rose Rickert, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Philomena Harlan, Sylmar, Calif., and Mrs. Frances Jackson, Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; St. Catherine Cemetery, Catherine. Friends may call until 9 tonight at Brock's North Hill Chapel and until the hour of service Wednesday. There will be a parish wake service at 8 tonight at Brock's.
