Mr. Carney was born in Massena on May 25, 1907, son of Orvill and Mary Prashaw Carney. He attended Massena schools and worked at the IGA in Massena Springs and worked at Alcoa from 1942-1971. He married Rose Cappiello on May 4, 1936 at Sacred Heart Church in Massena with Rev. Luker officiating.
