She married Leo Donovan on April 17, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church.

She was survived by her husband; a son, Merton A. Adams; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Sue) Mittiga; two brothers, Downer Carney and Charles Carney; five sisters, Mrs. William (Mabel) Dowe, Mrs. William (Sarah) Brainard, Mrs. Benjamin (Mae) Ploof, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Pringle, and Mrs. Chris (Mildred) Clark; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, two brothers, a son and a daughter.
