Mary Young

Minerva - Mrs. Mary H. Young, 87, of 131 W. First St. died Wednesday at Alliance City Hospital following a long illness. She was born in East Liverpool, Oct. 12, 1899, a daughter of the late Fred Goppert and Clara Sittig Goppert. Mrs. Young was a finisher at the Cronin China Co. before retiring. and was a member of the East Rochester United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Helen) Rayburn and Mrs. Arthur (Ilene) Daugherty of Newell and Mrs. Delmar (Sarah) Smith and Mrs. Gary (Roberta) Chilson of Minerva; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Allison of Chester and Mrs. Donald (Sarah) Stoffel of Chester; 10 grandchildren, 14 great - grandchildren and a great - great - grandchild. The Rev. James McConnell of the East Rochester Church and Rev. James Hicks of the Minerva Presbyterian Church are to conduct services at the Hartley Funeral Home Saturday at 1 p.m. Burial is to be in Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
