Robert Young

East Palestine - Robert H. Young, 79, of School St., East Rochester, a former resident here, died this morning at 2:10 at Alliance City Hospital. He was born here Jan. 12, 1892, a son of the late James and Myra Young, and had worked at the former W. S. George Pottery Co. for years. He later was a jiggerman at the Cronn China Co. at Minerva until retiring. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of American Legion Post 31 and IOOF Lodge at Zelienople and attended the United Methodist Church at East Rochester. Besides his widow, the former Mary H. Goppert, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Paul Rayburn and Mrs. Arthur Daugherty of Newell and Mrs. Delmar Smith and Mrs. Gary Chilson of Minerva, 12 grandchildren and three great - grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the VanDyke Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bartley Funeral Home in Minerva and Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the VanDyke Funeral Home.
