Frederick George Goppert, retired potter, died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. at his home on Newell rd. after a lingering illness. He was employed last by the West End pottery of East Liverpool, and was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge 379, Ben Hur, Royal Arcanium, local 12 of the National Brotherhood of Opertative Potters and St. John's Lutheran church. Mr. Goppert is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Goppert at home; seven daughters, Mrs. Clara Snyder, Mrs. Hilda Allison, Mrs. Margaret Cline, and Mrs. Sarah Hubbard of Chester, Mrs. Mary Young of East Rochester, Pa., Sgt. Irene Moore of Ft. Ogiethorpe, Ga., Mrs. Pauline Bougner of Beaver; four sons, Max Goppert of East Liverpool, Adam Goppert of Chester, Pvt. First Class George Goppert of Quall Valley, Calif., and Carl Goppert at home; a brother, George A. Goppert of East Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Grimms of Chester, and 37 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Rites will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the late home by Rev. John Kindsvatter, pastor of St. John's church. Interment will be in Mill Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the late home.
