"Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence. Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance. Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverance. Winter passes and one remembers one's perseverance." --Yoko Ono
~Please consider encouraging family members to give their DNA either through Ancestry or 23andme or BOTH!
~Special thanks to imatarheel, BeeManTim, Grannycat, pbfries, Militarymama, Cheryl & Richard Justice, Lost Generation (although no longer active), Eldora Sasser, and connie adams (May your soul rest in peace) for all your work on this site!
~Shame on Find-A-Grave for wronging: LostHistory
~Would someone please tell Find-A-Grave that Willow Spring, NC does NOT have an "s" on it!!! Ugh!
~Seeking information on the Mahler and the Toler families of Johnston County, NC. Please feel free to contact me if you can help.
~Not everyone can afford to have a membership on Ancestry. Genealogy can be a free hobby or you can spend quite a bit of money paying for information from newspaper archives, military records, etc. on sites such as fold3. Even the Johnston County, NC Heritage Center charges $5 per obituary. I have the memberships and the subscriptions so I like to share the information. I post WWII Draft Registration Cards so people can see their ancestor's signature and personal stats such as height, weight.... Also, I add a lot of flowers. I am not related to all of these people but I do believe everyone's memorial should have a flower. :)
~Please use photos I posted of headstones, grave sites, cemeteries and markers at will and consider them public domain. Portrait photos on any memorial I have sponsored are not to be printed or published without my permission. Thank you in advance.
~My Pet Peeve: When people read your edit suggestion(s), make the correction(s) and then decline your edit. I find that most upsetting.
~Please do not add my e-mail address to anyone's bio. If you feel you have to give me credit for an edit, then use my screen name and ID # only or a link to my profile.
~my father, Johnny Wayne Lee, if you would like to leave a flower - Thank you!
