My interest in old cemeteries was sparked after being introduced, as a child, to the Old Bluff Cemetery located on the grounds of the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church near Wade, North Carolina. My interest in geneology has also been kindled as I search my family names of Holmes, Sessoms, McPhail, Cook and Geddie from North Carolina and Pierce and Moore from Ohio and Kentucky. I have direct line ancestors buried in the Archabald Holmes Family Cemetery and the John McPhail Family Cemetery both located in Eastover, North Carolina and the Old Bluff Cemetery located in Wade, North Carolina.
