Bio

I lost my Dad at the same time I turned 3, and most close family members that were alive when I was born not long after. Obviously curious with many questions as I grew, my late teens and early 20s I started researching Family and his and some of his Brothers-in-Arms USMC Service. This became a passion that led me to the Find a Grave site in its early stages... eventually returning to become a member. I have fascination and great respect for Days-Gone-By.

Find a Grave has helped me locate so many on my Ancestor Trails. I've been amazed by the dedication, help and kindness of fellow Find-A-Gravers during the years I've been a part of this site. THANK YOU ALL

My roots were proudly and deeply planted back to the birth of Texas by strong , God-fearing people. Most of them or their families made the long journey into East Texas from the AL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN and VA, MA. Their families bravely traveled mostly from the UK/Scotland/Ireland/Portugal and Spain.

It would be great if everyone has a token on their Memorial...especially the babies and children, no one should be forgotten.
**Thank you for leaving tokens for my loved ones. So very much appreciated**

** DEAR ANCESTOR**
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
