Bio
Nearly all my life, I have been surrounded with something concerning an ancestor. My mother was in DAR and my dad was in SAR. As kids, we spent a lot of summer vacations in cemeteries...I loved it! When my parents were living, I wasn't that connected to what they were doing. After they were gone, I decided to expand that single limb from myself to my Revolutionary War Veteran, to a full-blown tree that IS. There are many multiple births in my family, (Mom-triplet, her younger sister-twin, my older brother-twin, my paternal grandfather & his brother-identical twins), these being only a few. I am in search of the multiple births in my family tree along the way.
I am on Ancestry.com and have striven to add photos to each individual there. When I found out about FindAGrave.com, I did find stones of my family.
Having done that, I felt that after so many years of receiving information, it was time to give back. That is why I have come to volunteer at Find A Grave, to assist anyone else that I can, in honor of those who have done the same for me.
Although, because of illness, I currently am unable to go out into the cemeteries and photograph monuments for others that I love so much to do, I look forward to the time that I'll be able to be back out there! It is such a wonderfully rewarding thing to do, to help someone "prove" a family member. Happy searching!!
