Bio

Please note that I am not related to most of the memorials that I have entered. If you would like me to transfer the memorial to you please just ask and I will do so.

Please note that as at Dec 2020 I am adding memorials in the Doncaster churchyards from burial records (using the spellings that are recorded in these records). I will be adding details re the burials in each of their bios but this will take me years so if you want the information sooner than please let me know. To save RSI I am copying and pasting the phrase 'According to burial records they were ..... and were buried on ...' I realise that this is not grammatically correct and some individuals have contacted me re this, however as you can appreciate I am copying this in to thousands of memorials and this saves me typing he or she thousands of times.

Please feel free to use my photos, you do not need to ask my permission or credit me for the photograph.

I live in South Yorkshire in England and am willing to look for graves etc in the local area.

I am trying to make a full record of the cemeteries I live near and am using local history records to add in the details for headstones which I cannot read or are missing. I started this when tracing my own family tree and my aim is to help anyone tracing their family. I do not want to upset anyone, so if anyone wants me to remove or transfer memorials please let me know.

Tip (Copied from England Discussion Forum):
To do a search for cemetery or churchyard in a particular county go to cemetery search and begin with a full search for all in England. Find-A-Grave will say that there are too many records and that you should go back and refine the search so that it returns fewer results. Ignore this and in the address bar at the top of the screen, where the url reads:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=csr&CScn=&CScntry=5&CSst=0 replace the 0 at the end with one of the following codes. There may still be several pages of cemeteries in the list for the county, but it is easier to look through
