Bio
I live in the south of England. I was an RAF Military "wife of" for 26 years, going through the more modern day wars with my husband. I care very much about the memorial pages I am responsible for. I believe everyone deserves to be remembered. I am very interested in the two world wars. I like photographing war graves and finding out about the name inscribed on the headstone. By adding a photo of the headstone it might mean that a relative far away gets to see their loved ones last resting place and to me that is worth it's weight in gold.
Since Find A Grave changed the way we receive edits I am being literally bombarded with them every day, especially with being asked to add the Veteran badge, (which I could do in due course when other edits come along). I am seriosly considering refusing to add the Veteran badge as on the Findagrave protocol basis that while they'd served, they'd not survived ... to achieve becoming a Veteran. e.g., the dictionary definition of a military veteran is a person who is no longer in the military.
As Manager , I have to check the validity of every edit so there will be delays . Sorry, but there are only so many spare time hours in the day. In all the nine years I have been on FAG I have never known it like this and to be honest it is quite stressful to turn the computer on, log in, only to see the huge jump in numbers from the previous day.
