Find A Grave ID

We are joint contributors, as husband and wife.

I started doing genealogy research several years ago and have loved finding graves of our ancestors. I started my findagrave journey after attending a genealogy conference and learning about entering grave memorials. I began creating memorials for my ancestors and wandering cemeteries taking photos of their graves.

Memorial Day has always a big event for our family. We still decorate the graves of as many family members as possible.

Eventually, after following me around to several graves, my husband joined me in our ancestral quest. He has spent many hours walking cemeteries, taking photos and GPS readings.

As all of my genealogy sites are under the name of Micky O., We have maintained that name and not added his name to it. We are full partners in this wonderful venture of honoring our ancestors.

We have had many original family photos passed down to us. If you use our photos, please reference "MickyO", thus maintaining the origin of them.

We are related to many of the memorials that we maintain. If you are a closer relative than we are, please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to transfer memorials to family.

One of our goals is to connect families and appropriately add information. Each connection, or update, is thoroughly researched before being presented.

Ancestral research lines - Cook, Brown, Hutchinson, Saxton, Martin, Morris, Neville, Stiff, Hatch, Bradford, Atkinson, Lym, Broderick, Williams, Odenwalder, Murphy, Bean/Beanland, Richins, Barnard, Ellis, Hales, Lee.

We are in the process of assisting with a complete inventory of a nearby cemetery. There may be memorials we have added that are not our family in this cemetery. Please feel free to request a transfer of ancestors/family, by using the edit tab. We will consider transfers according to what is submitted.

Something we have learned from taking an inventory of this cemetery is the importance of how the last name is listed. Please read the following note in regards to LAST NAME LISTING.

Note: The following was copied from another contributors page and should be practiced by all members of Find A Grave:

"Putting more than one married name in the last name field (or sticking it in the maiden or middle name field) messes up searches and leads folks to create duplicates. I(we) will only add one married name in the last name field and the other marriages and/or variant names will be noted in the bio area."

May we all smile a little more,
treat one another with respect.
and honor those who have gone before us.
