I am a Life member of the Erie Society for Genealogy Research of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a member of the North Surburban Genealogical Society of Illinois. I live in the Chicago area, but have deep roots in most counties of Western PA and beyond. In 1969, I started doing genealogy research with my mother - Gloria Ramsdale Eckert. We did it the old fashioned way - going to courthouses, libraries and walking through cemeteries. In 1972, my mother became a founding member of the Erie Society for Genealogical Research. She is buried in Graham Cemetery, Franklin, Venango Co., PA.
