Bio

I want to thank all of the findagrave.com volunteers who do such a great job with fulfilling the photo requests. It makes such a difference to have photos to go along with the memorials.

IF YOU SEND ME EDITS for any of my memorials, PLEASE also send your SOURCES for those edits so I can determine if the edits can be made. I will not add unverified data to my memorials.

NOTE: A LOT of people have copied my posted photos to their ancestry trees without sourcing the photos nor including any captions that may go with the photos. If you copy these photos, PLEASE SOURCE WHERE YOU FOUND THEM, AND INCLUDE ANY CAPTIONS!!! This way, if someone has a question about a photo they know who to ask.

I've been on this site for over 15 years now and I've watched it grow from being very basic to having all of the wonderful options it now offers. I especially love being able to link the generations together. However, I am exceedingly disappointed with the "new" look of the memorial pages. Way too many advertisements all over the page, top, bottom, and both sides. This very much detracts from the look of the memorial. It looks cheap now, and I find that very sad. I especially do not like the new suggested ancestry records on my memorial pages. I think these memorials are a wonderful way to remember and honor our ancestors but it's obvious that whoever owns this site doesn't care about that, they just want to make as much money as possible with all of the new ads all over the memorials. I think the people who first began findagrave.com did it for altruistic reasons, but that has been forgotten. It's a sad commentary on our world, it's all about the money now.

I have been doing genealogy research since 2001. In Dec 2012 I become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Some of my ancestor lines are: Turnidge, Decker, Peters, Berberich, Claymon, Eden, Classen, Wirth, Irwin, Pennington, Terrell, Crowley, Fletcher, Connell, Gallea, Atkinson, Glover, Curd, Vorce, Clarke, Russell, Letman, Whitton, Nutting, Lea, Boyce, Baker, Douglas, Shepherd, Rhea, Perkins, Schmanski, Tadych and Griffith.
