My name is Glenn Koons and I live in southcentral Pennsylvania. I am the County Keeper Emeritus for Dauphin County, Pa.
I am more into preservation than I am genealogy. I like to photograph gravestones so I can show what was on that spot in 2009. Nothing lasts forever except the earth and sky. I know in years to come many of the graves I photograph now maybe become endangered species, so, In my little way, I am trying to preserve a bit of history.
Remember, Find A Grave is not a genealogy site, but a place to honor those who have passed on and to show where they are buried.
I am especially interested in the Civil War and finding Civil War veteran's graves.
Please do not use the public message feature on this page to suggest corrections and the like. The message will be deleted and the suggestion unfulfilled. On each interment page there is a "Suggest A Correction" link. Please use that for all matters pertaining to each individual memorial. When suggesting a correction please remember to include your email address in case I have some question concerning the information you send. I prefer two ways streets, not one way. I can't talk to a closed door.
Now I do make mistakes. The stones I photograph aren't getting any clearer, my eyes aren't any younger and to top that off I'm a lousy typist. [Sorry Miss Strite] When you spot a boo boo please let me know so I can make the appropriate change.
I will do transfers but not bulk transfers. Great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents and parents fall within the Find A Grave transfer guide lines and will be complied with. All others will be on a case by case basis. Remember, you will catch more bees with honey than vinegar. If you want to catch snakes you are on your own. But I digress.
I'm just a simple old tombstone reporter. Just the facts as they are carved into stone.
