Helen Jane Cunningham, 94, of Lafayette died at 1:05 AM Thursday April 19, 2012 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. She was born March 26, 1918, in Logansport to the late Emmett and Bertha Stephenson Burkett. Helen graduated from Washington Twp. High School in Cass County and was President of her class. On November 25, 1935 she married Elmer L. Cunningham in Logansport and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2006 and they had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She had been a school cook in Knox, Indiana and a cashier at Eisner grocery store and has been retired for may years. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church and enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

Helen and Elmer had five daughters, Sharon L. Denhardt husband Michael, Diane K. Achgill husband Ralph both of Lafayette, Carol Stacy(Deceased) and son in law Perry Stacy of Lafayette, Jean Creviston and Linda White both deceased, grandchildren Debbie Gomersall, Donna Halverson, Daniel Creviston, Denice Hrunek, Darryll Creviston, Delman Creviston, Dane Creviston, Teri Greiner, Connie Mann, Sandra Wolschlager, K. James White, Janet Kozub, Pam Church, Jerry Stacy (Deceased), Tim Stacy, Trudy Germaine, Kenneth Stacy, Cathy Coffin, Randy Hill, Rick Hill, Mike Denhardt, Gary McCauley, Christy Mack, Kim Hoffman, Amy McCauley, 53 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Grace Bell-Fry of Burrows, Pauline Baber husband Harland of Logansport, sisters in law Dixie Burkett of Logansport and Mary Burkett of Auburn. She was preceded in death by a sister and 6 brothers. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral Service 10:30 AM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Stacey Littlefield officiating.
