65, of Burrows were Saturday in
Logansport. Burial was in Ever-
Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
He died at 2:45 p.m. June 4,
1992, in his residence.
Born Feb. 11, 1927, in Cass
County, he was the son of Emmett
H. and Bertha Stephenson Burked.
Burkett had worked for Alpha
Industries for 29 years and
Switches, Inc., for seven years. He
had also worked as a supervisor for
Co-Tronics.
An avid fisherman, he was a
member of the Logansport Eagles
Lodge.
Surviving are one son, Robert E.
Burkett, Logansport; one stepdaughter,
Tamara Brown, Muncie;
three stepsons, Gerald Overmyer,
Cecil, Ohio, C.J. Overmyer, Camden,
and Scott Overmyer, Delphi;
three sister, Helen Cunningham,
Lafayette, Pauline Baber, Rt. 4,
Logansport, and Grace Fry, Rt. 2,
Camden; three brothers, Donald E.
4 Burkett and Clifford C. Burkett,
both of Logansport, Raymond
Burkett, Auburn; six
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
One step granddaughter,
one sister and two
brothers preceded him in death.
