She was born on April 19, 1925 in Walton, Indiana to Emmett H. and Bertha (Stephenson) Burkett. Grace married Evan Dale Bell on December 20, 1940 in Logansport, Indiana and he passed away on July 18, 1983. She married Harry Irvin Fry on December 10, 1988 in Logansport, Indiana and he passed away on March 27, 2009.
Grace is survived by her children, Betty (James) Bell Gauze, Lawrence L. (Eva) Bell and Barbara K. “Babs” (Gerald) Bell Hajdusiewicz; grandchildren Kregg (Jenny Sears) Sanders, Kelly Grace (G. Scott) Allhands, James A. (Linda Garczynski), Donna Gauze, Steven B. (Deana) Gauze, Tricia Lynn (Jeffrey) Fox, Nicholas Ari Hajdusiewicz, and Allison E. Grace was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, a noted cook and piemaker. She restored antique furniture for her home and others. Grace raised chickens and produce for the family food. She created specialty handmade lamp shades and designer clothing for her children. Grace managed a small restaurant on highway 25 in Burrows, Indiana for many years. She retired from Essex Wire in Flora, Indiana after working many years in production, always excelling her quota.
