Sharon Lee Denhardt, 81, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in her home.
She was born on June 15, 1942 in Logansport, IN to Elmer and Helen (Burkett) Cunningham.
Sharon graduated from East Tipp High School.
On May 28, 1978, she married Michael "Mick" Denhardt in Lafayette, IN and he survives.
Sharon worked over 20 years for the Census Bureau, retiring as a Field Supervisor.
She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) in Lafayette, IN.
Sharon enjoyed floral arranging, traveling, bargain shopping, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband; three sons; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cathy Lee Coffin; four sisters - Jean Creviston, Carol Stacy, Linda White and Diane Achgill; and brother-in-law, Phil Denhardt.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 and again on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Evangelical Covenant Church, 3600 South 9th St. Lafayette, IN with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stacey Littlefield officiating. Interment will be at Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette, IN.
