FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. BEAL

Funeral Sermon Is Preached By Rev. Einspahr And Burial Is In Holyoke Cemetery

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church for Mrs. Andrew Beal, who passed away last Thursday morning at her home from pneumonia. A short ceremony, consisting only of a prayer, at the family home north of Holyoke preceded the services at the church. Rev. R. Einspahr officiated at both. A profusion of flowers decked the house and church. Interment was made in the Holyoke cemetery.

F.N. Austin, H.E. Reichelt, A.V. Kistler, M.A. Kistler, William Silligman and John Wright, Sr., were pallbearers.

Maria Pauline Hageman was born March 28, 1878, at Holstein, Nebraska and passed away on October 25, 1934, at Holyoke, Colorado, at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 27 days.

She was baptized on May 5, 1878, in the Lutheran church by Rev. C. Meyer and was confirmed on April 10, 1892, at Kenesaw, Nebraska, by Rev. W. Wambsganss.

She was married to Andrew Beal on the 27th of November, 1901, at Holstein, Nebraska. To them were born eight sons and four daughters, eleven of whom are living, a twin son having died in infancy. The surviving children are Arthur of Ovid, Elmer, Mrs. Esther Finke, Albert, LaVern, Oscar and Lester all of Holyoke, Mrs. Evelyn Rutt of Brighton, Kermit of Graybull, Wyoming and Helen and Viola of Holyoke. Mrs. Beal is survived by her husband also, as well as three sisters and five brothers and six grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Beal, together with her family, moved to the farm north of Holyoke in the spring of 1917.

Since she has left our ranks on earth, her absence is mourned not only by her aforementioned husband and children, sisters and brothers, but also by a host of friends who know how to appreciate solid Christian virtues.
