OSCAR BEAL RITES JANUARY 2

Oscar F. Beal was born October 13, 1908 in Holstein, Nebraska. His parents were Andrew Beal and Mary (Hagemann) Beal. They moved to Colorado when Oscar was 9 years old. He lived in Phillips County at Amherst since then.

On June 5, 1938 he married Frieda Krueger in Amherst. Here he farmed the rest of his life.

Through the years, Oscar was active in St. Paul's Lutheran Church locally and on the zone level, Amherst Volunteer Fire Department and the East Phillips County Hospital Board.

He is survived by his wife Frieda; three children James of Allenspark, Linda Cox of Sterling and Randy of Amherst and their families to include 11 grandchildren. His surviving brothers include Albert (Butch) of Holyoke and Kermit of Loveland. Sisters surviving are Esther Finke of Holyoke, Viola Chandler of Greeley and Evelyn Rutt of Brighton.

Services were held January 2, 1988 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst with Rev. John Larson officiating. Interment was at Holyoke Memorial Park. Austin Funeral Home of Julesburg was in charge of arrangements.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to so many people at our bereavement of Oscar's passing for the memorial donations, cards, flowers and food. We thank our pastor, Rev. Larson for his support and love; Mary Belle Rafert, the organist; Harvey McCune, for his beautiful solo and our Ladies Aid for the dinner and help. The loving services of Austin Funeral Home of Julesburg; to Dr. Chesnut and the nurses and staff of the hospital and for all visitors including Rev. Johnson and Pastor Martin Waite for their prayers.
