Viola M. Chandler of Greeley was born June 29, 1917 in Holyoke to Andrew and Mary (Hageman) Beal Jr. She died September 16, 1992 in Greeley at the age of 75.

Viola was one of 11 children. Her family farmed in the Holyoke area.

On April 4, 1942 she married Glen Chandler in Santa Monica, California. In 1945 they moved to Greeley where Mr. Chandler opened his own body shop. In 1956 they moved back to California where Viola graduated from high school in 1959.

They moved again to Colorado and she worked for Ferrins Boiler in Denver. In 1964 they returned to Greeley and she worked at the Weld County Assessor's Office and then with the Weld County Clerk and Recorder's office.

Viola was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Survivors include her husband Glen of Greeley; daughters Lana Czismadi of LaSalle and Nancy Kallsen of Kersey; brothers Albert (Butch) Beal of Holyoke and Kermit Beal of Loveland; and four grandchildren.

Services were held on September 21, 1992 at the Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens of Greeley.
