Services were held Wednesday, January 6, 1971, from the United Methodist church, Holyoke, for Elmer Ray Beal, 67, who passed away January 1, 1971, at Bakersfield, California.
Services were conducted by Rev. Evan Brian. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Elmer Ray Beal was born July 27, 1903 in Kenesaw, Nebraska. He came with his family to Holyoke in 1917. He worked as a machinist in Holyoke for a number of years before moving to California.
During World War II he served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by one son, Barry, Denver, four brothers, Albert, Holyoke, Oscar, Amherst, Lester, Fort Collins, and Kermit, Loveland; four sisters, Mrs. Esther Finke, Holyoke, Mrs. Ed Rutt, Brighton, Mrs. Keith Condreay, Lakewood, and Mrs. Glen Chandler, Greeley; two grandchildren, a number of nephews and nieces and many friends.
