Funeral services for J. I. Brasell 71, of Lubbock, former Crosbyton resident and brother of Mrs. J. K. Stegall were held at the Arnett-Benson Baptist Church in Lubbock Wednesday.
Brasell who farmed in the Owens community several years, died Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, five sons, three daughters, six sisters and 13 grandchildren.

John served in the National Army during WW I. He enlisted May 28, 1918 and served in the Infantry until his discharge, January 30, 1919. He was a Private in the 127th Infantry, Co. HQ, serving in France. His service number was 1421479.
