She was a cook for the ranch hands at J.S. Bridwell Ranch where her husband was the Co-foreman. They moved back to Dublin. She could play the piano, but could not read a note from sheet music. If you could hum her a tune she could play it back on the piano. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin, TX. She was an active member of Dublin's Senior Citizens.
Cordelia Vada Roberson, 83, of Dublin died Oct 28 at Dublin Medical Center.
Services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in the First Baptist Church with The Rev. Bill Campbell officiating. Burial was in Bunyan Cemetery.
Born July 12, 1899, in Erath County, she had lived in Dublin since 1971, moving from Fort Worth. Her first husband, William Dewey Roberson, preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1964. She later married Albert Russell Roberson, April 11, 1972. A member of the First Baptist Church, she was a past president of the Women's Missionary Union and had taught Sunday School for 62 years. She was the first president of the Dublin Senior Citizens Center and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ethmer Boyd Roberson of Burleson and Billy Roberson of Dublin; two daughters, Mrs. W. T. Culpepper of Dublin and Mrs. Gay Clark of Arlington; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
