Funeral rites were held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Springdale Friends church for Mrs. Charles H. Pieper, 73, who died at her home here Thursday after a long illness. The Rev. Taylor Guthrie was in charge and burial was in the Sharon Cemetery at Wilton.
Minnie Jennings was born near Wilton Junction, April 15, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jennings. She was married to Charles H. Pieper, and they lived in the Wilton Junction vicinity until 1905, since when their home has been in or near West Branch. They were the parents of three children, Dr. Howard G. Pieper of Chicago, Mrs. Frederick Mayer of Kankakee, Ill., and Mrs. Vernon Dice. Dr. Pieper and Mrs. Meyer, with the husband, and two grandchildren, survive.
