WILTON - Mrs. Elizabeth Walton, 63, wife of Vernon C. Walton, who had spent her entire life in this community, died at her home north of here at 6 p.m. Sundan (January 19, 1941) after a two months illness.
Elizabeth Bell Jennings was born May 9, 1877, in Cedar county, the daughter of James and Almira Jennings, early settlers of that community. She was married to Vernon C. Walton on Nov. 19, 1896.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters and one son. They are Mrs. Harold Williams of Boulder, Colorado, Mrs. Ellsworth Cole of Wilton, Mrs. Nevin Hinkhouse of West Liberty and Lonnie Walton of Cedar county; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Pieper of West Branch and Mrs. Eunice Carney of Atalissa and two brothers, Frank Jennings of West Liberty and Arthur Jennings of Tipton. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walton was a member of the Christian Church of Atalissa, the Presbyterian ladies auxiliary and the Sugar Creek ladies auxiliary.
Funeral rites will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J. M. Newgard in charge. Burial will be in Sharon cemetery north of Wilton.
