Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church in Larchwood, Iowa for John Richard Parkinson, 82, Rowena who died Monday [July 1, 1974] in a Sioux Falls hospital.
A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnett Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
Mr. Perkinson was born Sept. 18, 1891 at Beloit, Iowa. He farmed in the Larchwood-Rowena area most of his life. He then ran a service station in Rowena until 1970 when he retired.
Survivors include a brother, Martin, California, and a sister, Mrs. Art Jenkins, Long Beach. (Argus-Leader, Sioux Falls, SD, July 2, 1974}
