Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Larchwood for James Perkinson, 81, who died Saturday [March 12, 1966] at a Sioux Falls hospital.
Born in Sioux county April 10, 1884, to James and Elizabeth (Fitzpatrick) Perkinson, he lived most of his life in the Larchwood area. He was married September 27, 1915, to Nellie Schat at Larchwood.
Mr. Perkinson was preceded in death by three children, one brother and two sisters.
Survivors are the widow, three daughters [five], Mrs. Ted (Filistas) Underburg, Larchwood; Mrs. Tim (Viola) Lape, Larchwood; Mrs. Howard (Florence) Hanson, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Norman (Mary) Oren, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Frank (Kathern) Kadinger Security, Colo. two sons, John and Robert of Sioux Falls; three sisters Mrs. Ray Thompson and Mrs. Fred Aslin of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Arthur Jenkins of Seal Beach, Calif. two brothers, John of Larchwood and Martin of Homewood, Ill.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Father Harold Cooper officiating. Rosaries will be at 8:00 pm. Tuesday. Burial will be at St. Mary’s cemetery at Larchwood. Jongewaard funeral home is in charge of arrangements
