She was born in Shapleigh, May 14, 1916, daughter of David and Annie Durgin Beal, and attended Sanford schools.
Mrs. Swan, a lifelong resident here, was employed for many years by local shoe shops, including the former Sanford Shoe Shop, and retired in 1982.
Her survivors are a son, David Swan of Springvale; two daughters, Joyce Jarvis of Springvale and Mrs. David (Ann) Brown of Kennebunk; a brother, Norman Beal of Colorado; two sisters, Daisy Paquette and Nina Beal, both of Springvale; and eight grandchildren.
Services were scheduled today at 1 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Springvale, with the Rev. Kenneth Keating officiating.
Interment is to be in Riverside Cemetery, Springvale.
