Pennie Jane was the daughter of Elizabeth Oxendine Lowry. She married Rev. Arthur Maynor on Feb. 12, 1901 in the Back Swamp section of Robeson County, North Carolina.

The following was taken from the May 16, 1958 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Mrs. Penny Maynor, 73, widow of Rev. Arthur Maynor, Pembroke, died at 6:30 this morning in Robeson County Memorial hospital following an illness of several months.

She is survived by her sons, W. R. Maynor, Greensboro, R. A. Maynor, Cleveland, Ohio, Rev. J. C. Maynor, Jacksonville, Fla., Joseph Maynor, Baltimore, Md., Chester Maynor of Jackson, Mich., Rev. Millard Maynor, Charlotte, A. T. Maynor, Mt. Airy, Chalmers Maynor, Greensboro; her daughters, Mrs. McKinley Maynor, Greensboro, Mrs. Ethel Lee Chavis, Detroit, Mrs. Randolph Oxendine, Pembroke, Mrs. Roscoe Brewer, New York City, Miss Athelia Maynor of the home, Mrs. James Brewer, Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral plans are incomplete, pending the arrival of relatives.

Mrs. Maynor was an active member of Pentecostal Holiness church.
