Theodore Chalmers was the son of Rev. Arthur and Pennie Jane Lowry Maynor. He married Jessie Lee Brewer. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

The following was taken from the Nov. 14, 2007 edition of THE DISPATCH (Lexington, NC):

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thomasville Church of God. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thomasville Church of God and at other times at the home.

***NOTE: His birth and death dates were taken from the NC Death Index.

***NOTE: In 1946, he received a degree from what is presently known as the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In July 2007, the Heritage Walk was dedicated to serve as a permanent monument to all of the university's graduates from 1905 to 1954. Theodore was honored by having his name engraved on a brick in the Heritage Walk walkway in front of Old Main, the oldest building on the campus.
