Elizabeth Oxendine was married to Steve Lowry, son of Allen Lowry and Polly Cumbo and Steve was a member of the Henry Berry Lowry Gang. The Wilmington Star Newspaper carried story about what was going on in Robeson County in 1872. It told of Steve Lowry being seen at a Justice's court at the Union Chapel Church in Burnt Swamp Township on November 2, 1972.
