Fiatt, IL - Mabel Deakin Graham, 89, of 25430 N. Tompkins Road passed away at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in rural Cuba, the daughter of Lee and Nellie (Kaler) Deakin. She married Lawrence D. Graham. He died in 1977.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alan, Jerry and Bob; and three sisters, Audrey, Shirley and Hazel.

Surviving are one son, Larry Joe (Sandy) Graham of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Irene Graham of rural Cuba and Jeanne Graham of rural Farmington; four grandchildren, Suzie (Michael) Maddox, Mark Ford, Sherry Graham and Melissa Alcuse; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.

Mabel was a homemaker. She also worked for Caterpillar Inc. during World War II and then retired from Kelley's Nursing Services of Peoria.

She was a member of Fiatt Independent Christian Church. She loved to travel. She also enjoyed books, nature and photography. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Cuba Cemetery.
