Robert K. "Bob" Deakin 79, passed away at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo.

Bob was born on February 20, 1929 in Cass Twp., Fulton County the son of Justus Lee and Nellie (Kaler) Deakin. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Army. Bob was united in marriage to Betty Lalicker on June 28, 1963 in Moline, IL. He had been employed at Case IH, East Moline as a welder for 27 1/2 years retiring in 1990. Bob was a member of the Atkinson American Legion Post. He enjoyed racing motorcycles in his younger years. Bob also enjoyed camping, fishing, walking along the canal bird watching, hunting and all outdoor activities!

He has 2 daughters and 2 sons surviving; seven grandchildren; one step grandchild; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister Mabel Graham, Fiatt, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Virginia Deakin, three brothers and three sisters.

Per his request cremation rites were accorded. His ashes were scattered. There is a memorial stone for Bob at Bernadotte, IL.
