Mrs. Margaret C. Burkart, age 86, of 762 Weller Ave., Hamilton, passed away at Schroeder Manor on Saturday at 10:40 p.m. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, March 29, 1896, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Lagedrost) Weiss. On January 10, 1917 in Hamilton, Ohio, she married Frank Burkart and he preceded her in death in 1956. She was a member of The Third Order of St. Francis, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the St. Ann's Altar Rosary Society, and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, Robert E. Burkart, Frank E. Burkart, and Stanley J. Burkart; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Cook, Fairfield, and Mrs. Arthur Brewer, Hastings, Mich.; one sister, Emma Hogan, Hamilton; and 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph F. Burkart, killed in action in World War II, 1944. Prayers will be at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Ann Catholic Church, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at Brown-Dawson, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Stephen cemetery.
