Edward P. Weiss, 81, 713 Ridgelawn Ave., died at noon Friday at Fort Hamilton-Hughes Hospital, where he had been a patient for eight days. He was born in Hamilton in 1892, the son of Adam and Elizabeth Lagedrost Weiss, and was educated in St. Peter's School. In 1914 he married Anna D. Verbryke in St. Peter's Church. She preceded him in death in 1946. Mr. Weiss then married Anna Mae Moehring in 1962 in Middletown. He was a self-employed carpenter and builder, a member of St. Peter's Church, The Holy Name Society, and a past member of the Hamilton Catholic High School Father's Club. He leaves his wife, Anna Weiss; one son, Walton E. Weiss, Hamilton; two daughters Mrs. George (Rita) Livingston, Dayton, and Mrs. Donald (Jeanette) Schellenbach, Hamilton; two stepsons, Richard Roby and Donald Roby, both of Middletown; three step-daughters, Mrs. William Cretors, Middletown, Miss Dorothy Roby, Cleveland, and Mrs. Myron Hensel, Springboro; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Hogan, Hamilton, and Mrs. Margaret Burkhart, Hamilton; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday from the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Church Monday at 10:30 a.m., with burial in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
