Carl H. Weiss, 74, 606 Elvin Ave., died Monday at 11a.m. at his home where he had been confined 27 months. He was seriously ill the last 3 months. He was born July 19, 1888 in Hamilton, a son of Adam and Elizabeth Lagedrost Weiss, and received his education at St. Peter School. On April 9, 1913, he married Elsa Kuszler in the St. Peter Church. Mr. Weiss was a foreman at Wirtz Transfer where he worked 42 years until retirement in 1957. He was a member of St. Mary Church and the Holy Name Society. Besides the wife, he leaves two sons William Weiss, Minneapolis, and Donald Weiss, Hamilton; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Mikesell, Fairfield, and Miss Barbara Weiss, Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren, two brothers, Frank Weiss and Ed Weiss, both of Hamilton; two sisters Mrs. Margaret Burkart and Mrs. Emma Hogan, both of Hamilton; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mrs. Louise Blount. Services will be conducted Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Requiem High Mass at 9 o'clock in St. Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
