Rebecca was the daughter of Shadrach White and Sarah Gibson. Rebecca married Isaac Seela on January 9, 1827 in Ralls County, MO. In 1833 they moved to near Sarcoxie, Jasper County, Missouri, being one of the first settlers in this part of the state. By April 11, 1842, they had settled land on Center Creek, southeast of present day Carthage, MO. On October 3, 1854, Isaac and Rebecca Seela sold their 160 acre farm on Center Creek, and by 1855 were in Parker County, Texas. Their last log cabin is now in Log Cabin Village in Fort Worth, TX. Children: Katherine Elizabeth (Seela) Richardson b. December 18, 1827; John Nicholas Umphrey Seela b. July 14, 1829; William L. Seela b. January 20, 1831; Isaac Seela b. 1833; Jacob Seela b. 1834/5; Sarah (Seela) [Gayle] Wheeler b. 1836; Susan Seela b. 1839; Nancy Rama (Seela) Andrews b. June 4, 1840; Elizabeth Rebecca (Seela) Holt b. September 22, 1844; Jasper Newton Seela b. September 22, 1844; George Washington Seela b. June 15, 1849. All children except Susan are linked below.
