The Jenkins County native was a retired sawmill operator and farmer and a member of the Lawrence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Delma Durrence McCoy, Pembroke; one daughter, Mrs. Derita Anderson, Brooklet; four sisters, Mrs. Vergie Sammons, Statesboro, Mrs. Katie Hughes, Savannah, and Mrs. Lois Dickerson and Betty J. McCoy, both of Pembroke; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Tom Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence Baptist Church cemetery.
