Betty Jean McCoy, 64, retired telephone employee died Friday at Bulloch Memorial after a long illness. The Bulloch County native was a retired employee with Southern Bell and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sisters, Virgie M. Sammons, Statesboro, Katie M. Hughes, Thunderbolt, and Lois M. Dickerson, Pembroke; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Baptist Church Cemetery.
