Robert G. McCoy, 66, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. The Bulloch County native was a veteran of World War II, a member of Lawrence Baptist Church, and a member of Tar City Hunting Club and Bay District Hunting Club. He was a retired vice president and general manager of Diamond Manufacturing Company after 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Leola Parson McCoy, Pembroke; three sons, Raymond G. McCoy and John Keith McCoy, both of Pembroke, and Robert Alan McCoy, Ellabell; a stepson, Norman Lee Sexton, Pembroke; a brother, John Lee McCoy, Pembroke; four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Sammans, Statesboro, Mrs. Katie Hughes, Thunderbolt, and Mrs. Lois Dickerson and Mrs. Betty J. McCoy, both of Pembroke; and six grandchildren. The funeral service was Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Hindman officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Baptist Cemetery.
